Art Downtown

On July 31 and August 28, a group of Gr.8-11 students participated in Art Downtown at Lot 19 and hosted the Florescence Charity Bazaar! Students had a wonderful time selling donated artworks, with all proceeds going towards UBC and VGH Hospital Foundation. So far, a total of $298 has been raised! There will be more fundraising events in the future, and I believe that students can continue to raise more donations. Art Downtown is an outdoor summer art festival where both new and established artists are encouraged to create and sell their work in an open setting that will inspire others and change the way quality art is circulated.

Congratulations to Student Macey for winning 1st Place in the 2024 Art Master competition at the Art Downtown event! Her outstanding creativity and dedication truly stood out among the many talented participants. As a recognition of her achievement, Macey received a brand-new monitor—an inspiring reward to support her continued artistic journey. We are incredibly proud of her accomplishment and can't wait to see what she creates next!
